LAURIE BERKNER SOLO! THE ROCK TILL YOU DROP TOUR WITH SPECIAL GUEST SUSIE LAMPERT

LAURIE BERKNER SOLO!
THE ROCK TILL YOU DROP TOUR
WITH SPECIAL GUEST SUSIE LAMPERT
SATURDAY, JULY 11
ARVADA CENTER SUMMER STAGE CONCERT SERIES ARVADA, COLORADO

“The undisputed queen of kindie rock” — USA Today

“The queen of children’s music” — People Magazine

ARVADA — Best-selling children’s recording artist and preschool television favorite Laurie Berkner will give a rare Denver area performance on her Rock Till You Drop Tour on Saturday, July 11 at 4:00 p.m at the Arvada Center’s Outdoor Amphitheater, 6901 Wadsworth Blvd., Arvada, CO. This show is part of the Arvada Center’s Summer Stage Concert Series.

Sharing the stage with Laurie Berkner will be her longtime keyboardist Susie Lampert.

Dubbed “one of the hippest children’s artists” by FamilyFun Magazine, Laurie Berkner’soriginal songs, albums, DVDs, music videos, and books leave no doubt: Laurie is the uncrowned queen of children’s music and the power behind the progressive “kindie rock” movement.

Laurie Berkner’s Arvada Center concert will showcase many songs from her new album,The Ultimate Laurie Berkner Band Collection, plus an array of other fan favorites. With such popular hits as “Bumblebee (Buzz Buzz),” “Victor Vito,” “We Are The Dinosaurs,” and “Rocketship Run,” this all-ages show is sure to be one of the top family events of the year. Kids should plan to bring their dancing shoes and a stuffed animal (for their heads). To give everyone a chance to catch their breath between high-energy dancing moments, the show will also include quieter interludes, with songs from Laurie Berkner Lullabies.

Laurie Berkner was the first artist to ever appear in music videos on Nick Jr. and was featured in nearly all of the episodes of the channel’s Jack’s Big Music Show. She currently stars in the animated musical short-form series Sing It, Laurie! on the Sprout preschool channel (owned by NBC) and makes regular appearances on Sprout’s Sunny Side Up Show.

Laurie is a beloved presence on SiriusXM’s Kids Place Live, where her “Instant Party”segments with daughter Lucy air throughout each day. Laurie also hosts a popular series ofKids Place Live specials titled Laurie Berkner’s Garden: Eat, Play, Grow.

A former preschool music teacher by day and indie rocker by night, Laurie Berkner started selling her music more than ten years ago out of her living room on her own label, Two Tomatoes Records. The Laurie Berkner Band has received tremendous critical acclaim.Time Magazine lauded Laurie as “a kind of sippy-cup Sheryl Crow … Berkner inhabits a kid’s curious perspective in her lyrics and pens folk-pop melodies that bear repeated — very repeated — listenings.” The Wall Street Journal called Laurie “one of the most popular children’s performers in America … her music is distinctive because it speaks to kids without talking down to them, charming youngsters without boring grown-ups.”

Teach Your Kids About the Animal Kingdom the Fun Way

As a child learns about the animal kingdom, it can be difficult to understand when nothing real is seen, heard or felt. It can also be scary when it can be as real as getting bitten by some of them. However, by joining the Animal Trackers Club, the fun and excitement as well as the learning possibilities can be fulfilling, not only for the child, but for the parents as well.  My daughter received her first monthly package and she gets to learn more about zebras. Bode Bear is her teacher. He goes to the African Savanna tracking different animals. This month he teaches everything about zebras. All the information is interesting because they come in colorful items like foam animals, masks, magnets, activity pages and cards, an art project to complete that are all packed in a safari lunchbox which she can easily bring anywhere she wants to play. There is also a real picture so my daughter gets to see what the zebra looks like and it’s not a mere drawing. I can always show her through the internet, but this pack she can call her own.  She is excited because she knows that every month there will be another set of cards, masks, art projects and activities to watch for with a different animal.

Backup And Protect Your Data

Screen Shot 2015-04-21 at 10.40.49 PMIn the history of the digital age, losing important files have been mentally categorized from ‘no problem’ to ‘excruciatingly painful,’ for the lack of a better term. With frequent power outages back then, backup storage elsewhere has been very important, especially with data that has been worked on for so long or you do not want to lose ever. IDrive Backup can help in making that possible. With your data protected you can access it anywhere you have an internet connection and you still have our files saved even if your own computer crashes or gets a virus. You can be sure those memorable photos will be available for a long time.

Blood Clotting Can Kill

American_Blood_Clot_Association

The only time we need our blood to clot is when we have an open wound. If our blood does not clot in that area, it will not heal. However, in the wrong place, like inside the veins, blood clotting is fatal. Knowing the symptoms will help us know if we are already at risk. We have to go through proper diagnosing like Duplex Ultrasound, Blood Test, Venography, and Magnetic Resonance Imaging. Blood clotting can also be prevented through regular exercise, eating the right foods, avoiding long periods of immobility, maintaining proper weight, etc.

As the saying goes, it is better to take prevention than wait for the cure. Why undergo the pains and sufferings of blood clotting when you can make sure your lifestyle is more healthy than it is today? You can check out the American Blood Clot Association and get to know more about the symptoms, signs and many more. You can also connect and get updated with the latest news from The American Blood Clot Association through their social media.
